I recently stayed at a charming hostel in Cartagena's historic district. The location was perfect, right inside the old walls, and felt safe and secure. The staff was wonderful, always helpful and friendly. I loved the keypad entry system, no need to worry about physical keys. The breakfast was delicious with options for cooked eggs, waffles, toast, fresh fruit, and coffee. The rooms were comfortable, with great air conditioning and hot showers. Sitting on the balcony at night and people-watching was a highlight. Plus, they recommended a great laundry service nearby. Highly recommended!
100% Recommend this hotel.

We got excellent value for our money at El Barrio Hostal. The room was spotlessly clean and the location, right in the heart of the old town, couldn't have been better. The staff treated us with kindness and were always helpful.
More breakfast choices would have made the experience even better.

Perfect location in the heart of the Old Town, close to all the action but on a quiet street. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious with a good choice of eggs and waffles. The room was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioner worked well for a good night's sleep.
The room we stayed in was a bit small, especially with two people and two backpacks. , the bathroom would flood every time we took a shower, even though the shower door was fully closed.

I had an amazing stay at a cozy hostel right in the heart of the city. The location was perfect, with everything I wanted to explore just a few steps away. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always ready to offer assistance and recommendations. I loved the peaceful ambiance of the place, especially at night. The room was compact but comfortable, and the AC provided much-needed relief from the heat. The bathrooms were clean and well-stocked with toiletries. The hostel also provided unlimited drinking water, coffee, and fruit in the morning, which was a nice touch. Despite a few minor inconveniences, like a small room and occasional noise, the overall experience was exceptional. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a budget-friendly and relaxing stay in the area. I had a fantastic time and would definitely stay here again.
